“Can you keep a secret? I’m trying to organize a prison break. I’m looking for, like, an accomplice. We have to first get out of this bar. Then the hotel, then the city, and then the country. Are you in or you out?” – Lost in Translation (2003)
Early release of one of the new paintings for my cinema-inspired solo show, which opens June 7th at Bottleneck Gallery!

Great video: IBM develop a young girl’s idea to build a flashing crosswalk to remind drivers that pedestrians are coming.

The problem is this would be far less effective in the daylight. On a lighter note, IBM is only a few programming cues away from turning a crosswalk into the piano from “Big,” so I consider this a tremendous success.

“There must have been moments even that afternoon when Daisy tumbled short of his dreams — not through her own fault, but because of the colossal vitality of his illusion. It had gone beyond her, beyond everything. He had thrown himself into it with a creative passion, adding to it all the time, decking it out with every bright feather that drifted his way. No amount of fire or freshness can challenge what a man will store up in his ghostly heart.”
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Original digital art piece by me on one of my all time favorite books. Modern take on Daisy cover art, rose lips, water-bokeh hair, galaxy head-piece.
